Astronaut Neil Armstrong, first man on moon, dies at age 82
NBC News: Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon, died Saturday at age 82. Armstrong died due to complications from heart surgery.
Armstrong was the commander of the Apollo 11 spacecraft that landed on the moon on July 20, 1969. He and fellow astronaut Buzz Aldrin spent almost three hours walking around on the moon’s surface.
